Whoopi Goldberg WALKS AWAY as The View co-hosts address Miranda Lambert drama: ‘I’m leaving you guys!’
The hosts of ABC’s The View discussed the viral video of Miranda Lambert slamming fans at a recent concert on Tuesday’s episode of the morning show.
Lambert, 39, stopped her performance in Las Vegas on July 15 to complain about fans taking selfies while she sang.
While co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, sided with the concertgoers, Whoopi Goldberg, 67, disagreed and supported the country singer.
Hostin argued that she would “take as many selfies as I want if I paid $757 for tickets.”
Goldberg countered, “You know what? Stay at home. If you’re going to spend $750 to come to my concert, give me the respect to watch me do my thing, or don’t come.’
Then she got up from her chair and walked away, leaving her colleagues in shock.

Then Goldberg got up from her chair and said to Sunny, “Turn on the television, girl.”
When asked where she went when she ran away, the Sister Act star replied, “I’m leaving you!”
Then she unexpectedly walked up to a woman in the audience and said, “I want my picture taken with this wonderful woman who is 91.”
She turned the conversation into a light-hearted moment and said, “So we’re going to take a selfie.” Just you and me. Do you want to press that button?’
The old entertainer used the bit to transition into a commercial break as she said, “We’ll be right back.”
Miranda left fans in awe on Sunday when she paused her concert to condemn guests for “taking selfies” during her set.
A TikTok video showed the star singing her ballad as she asked the pianist to stop playing.

She added, “It kind of teases me. I’m sorry, I don’t like it. Not at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I sing goddamn country music.’
The clip showed some fans walking out as one person said, “Let’s go – don’t do that to your fans.”
Adela Calin, one of the women berated for the selfie, later recounted NBC news“It felt like I was back in school with the teacher berating me for doing something wrong and telling me to go back to my seat.”
She added, “I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature, and vain. But we were just grown women in their 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.’
Calin also stressed that the photo lasted “30 seconds maximum.”
“We just couldn’t get one good shot. We were so excited because I think we had the best seats in the house in the entire theater,” she commented, sharing that she was “shocked” by Lambert’s terse response.
