Whoopi Goldberg was forced to tell Alyssa Farah Griffin to “listen” during Thursday’s edition of The View as the panel erupted into chaos during another fiery political debate.
Whoopi, 67, was clearly frustrated as Alyssa, 34, and her other co-hosts Sara Haines, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin shouted over each other while discussing the Republican presidential debate, which took place on September 27.
After letting Sunny and Alyssa duke it out for about a minute, the Sister Act star decided to speak up, telling the panel, “I’ve been quiet for everyone,” and was clearly annoyed that her co-stars were raising their voices.
Alyssa was also irritated by the debate, as she kept looking at executive producer Brian Teta every time someone interrupted her, and when she finally got a chance to speak, she was furious when the theme song started playing as the show prepared to to transition to a commercial hiatus.
The former White House aide seemed on a roll as she defended former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, but she looked so fed up when the music started playing mid-sentence as she told the panel, “I had a lot more to say! ‘

Alyssa, 34, spoke quite passionately about Wednesday’s Republican political debate
The hosts continued to talk over each other as they tried to share their opinions
The camera immediately panned to Whoopi, who shot Alyssa a look and then sarcastically replied, “Unfortunately, it’s only an hour-long show, so we can’t do that.”
Nikki Haley was certainly a point of contention within the panel, as 54-year-old Sunny labeled her a “hypocrite,” while Alyssa argued that her fellow Republican had put forward decent policies and ideas during the debate.
“This is my problem with Nikki Haley… when people say, ‘What did you do?’ I actually wanted to know what she had done. What policy at the UN, because that’s what she is,” Whoopi said as Alyssa interrupted and claimed, “She’s a successful two-term governor.”
But Whoopi was having none of it and retaliated: “Wait a minute! She was a great governor, she wasn’t a great governor, and you may think she’s the cat’s meow, but I don’t think so!
“So when I listen to her, I want to hear someone say, ‘And this is what we’re going to do…’” Whoopi continued as Alyssa fired back, “Have you all seen it? I thought she did!’
Whoopi confirmed that she had seen the debate on television and responded, “Listen, I’m listening to the Republicans, listen, I’ve been listening to you and I’ve been quiet for everyone, so I’m just saying…” as Alyssa came on intervened again and said: ‘Yes, you do listen to everyone, you know.’
Determined to finish her piece, Whoopi added, “I tried, but I didn’t hear what I needed to hear as an American, which is, what are you going to do about this and this? I don’t want to hear about the wars, the culture wars, I don’t want to hear anyone else talk about culture wars…
“She didn’t bring it up…” Alyssa said quietly, but Whoopi didn’t miss a trick and fired back, “The whole panel talked about culture wars, and to me that’s the problem.”
Sunny Hostin looked visibly annoyed when Sara Haines and Alyssa tried to interrupt her
The hosts repeatedly spoke over each other as they all tried to express their personal opinions on the candidates’ performance during the Republican debate
The View hosts talked a lot about former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley
The show then went into a commercial break, but when it returned, the panel was still discussing the Republican debate and still shouting at each other.
Mother-of-two Sunny confronted Nikki again, arguing that ‘fracking is a huge climate change problem’, and when Sara and Alyssa tried to interrupt, she refused to allow it.
“If I could finish… the other thing about Nikki Haley is when she was governor, I agree with you. Whoopi, I don’t think she’s done such a great job as governor, mainly because she’s a flip-flopper. That’s why I call her a hypocrite.’
Alyssa then took charge again and announced, “We have to have a battle of ideas and I think there is something better for this country than Donald Trump versus Joe Biden again.” Nikki Haley is the closest to me.”
When Joy asked what Nikki’s position is on Ukraine, Alyssa immediately responded, arguing that she wants to “help them win the war against Russia,” but as she continued chatting, The View theme song started playing and stopped her in her tracks.
Alyssa threw her hands up in frustration and looked at the show’s executive producer, Brian, as Joy told her, “Go ahead, finish your sentence,” but Alyssa refused, claiming she had “a lot more to say ‘.
The friction between the presenters did not go unnoticed and viewers quickly took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their thoughts.
“Whoopi needs to check on Alyssa. I’m tired of the condensing tone she shows towards Sunny and she doesn’t respect Whoopi at all. #enough #TheView,” someone said angrily.
Viewers accused former White House aide Alyssa of ‘talking over everyone’ during the debate
This isn’t the first time Sunny and Alyssa have argued about politics
Another wrote: “They need to tell Alyssa to stop. She tries to talk over everyone. You would think Nikki Haley is her mother, with the way she defends her. Let people have their own opinions #TheView.”
A third viewer commented: “AFG talks over everyone and pushes her Republican bullshit. #TheView,” while a fourth simply said: “Yes, talk about it Whoopi #TheView.”
It comes just days after Whoopi compared Donald Trump’s supporters and former employees to members of a “cult” during a heated interview with his ex-White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson.
Cassidy, 27, who worked in the White House and was also an assistant to former chief of staff Mark Meadows during the Trump administration, faced tough questions from the panel on Tuesday about her decision to go to the Mar-a-Lago resort former president to go. the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
