Team captain Tanuj said, ‘When we heard our names, everyone was very emotional. The entire hall burst into tears.’
“Me and Narayan had tears in my eyes, but they were tears of joy because we worked so hard for this. For us, we were a bit exhausted, but it was a very proud moment.”
He continued: ‘We kind of had a strategy that we would divide the workload between us so that we could complete each challenge and I think it worked to our advantage. So there was a bit of planning and I would say quite a bit more than we would normally do in our day-to-day work.
‘Narayan and I have worked together in different locations because we work for the same hotel chain. We got along so well from the day we met, we always want to bounce ideas off each other and we just clicked. We were good friends but since this competition he has become more like a brother.
Before adding: ‘We returned the trophy to the hotel, but of course had to keep it hidden until tonight. It has pride of place in the hotel lobby, the perfect place for everyone to see it!’.
