Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał exited in the semi-finals of the competition, after a dance competition against Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec on the eleventh results show of the series.
Both couples returned to the ballroom as Tasha and Aljaž performed their waltz to (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.
Pete and Jowita then performed their Argentine tango to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve.
After both couples danced for the second time, the judges delivered their verdict, with Craig Revel Horwood kicking things off by saving Tasha and Aljaž.
Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke also saved Tasha and Aljaž, giving them the majority of votes and marking the end of Pete and Jowita’s time on the show.
Chief judge Shirley Ballas also agreed, saying she would have decided to save Tasha and Aljaž.

When asked by Tess about his time in the competition, Pete said: “It was wild. I’ve been very honest about the fact that I didn’t necessarily want to do this [Strictly] in the first place, but everyone else wanted me to do it, and I’m so glad I did!
‘You don’t always have to be the best, but if you enjoy something, why not try it? I did my best from day one, I said I wanted a penny, a pound, and I did it, it was beautiful.”
As for Polish dance partner Jowita, he added: “There are many things I will take away from this, but one of the most special things is you. [to Jowita] and I mean that, because you are one of the most incredible people – not only as a dancer – but also as a person.
‘You have been a ray of sunshine to me. Over the past three months you’ve helped me get through things I didn’t think I could do, and you’ve made me believe in myself and that means more to me than anything.”
Jowita said: “I just want to thank you, thank you for the trust you have given me since day one.
“I know it wasn’t easy, but with your hard work, your dedication and your heart, what’s most amazing, you won every week!
‘For me every dance was special… even the Cha Cha in Blackpool!
“Do you remember on the first day you said, ‘I won’t stay in this competition for long because I can’t dance,’ but now I can tell you, yes, you can.”
