Steven Miles has shocked Queenslanders after revealing he was a Taylor Swift fan.
The Queensland premier, 46, introduced himself as Swiftie on Friday following the release of the US pop superstar’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Taking to social media, the father-of-three paid tribute to the singer’s release by playing the album through the car while riding shotgun.
The Labor politician waited in traffic, holding his phone, which played the first song from the highly anticipated release.
“Taylor time on the M1,” Mr Miles captioned the Facebook post.

The proud family man is often photographed with a broad grin and is married Kim McDowell and they have three children: Sam, 15, Aidan, 12, and Bridie, nine.
And Queensland voters took to The Premier’s message board to congratulate him on his taste.

“You, me and a billion trillion other people around the world right now!” a fan bellowed.
“It’s amazing,” another Swifite commented on Taylor’s latest set of songs.
Meanwhile, another fan sympathized with the Prime Minister’s stance on being stuck in traffic.
‘Tortured!!!’ they posted, adding, “Hope you’ll sing along too.”

Swift shocked fans when she revealed her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, was a surprise double edition, with 31 new songs for delighted listeners.
The global megastar sent social media into meltdown when she dropped a record 16 songs at midnight ET (2pm AEST), before announcing 15 bonus songs just two hours later.
She was accused of scamming her fans by dropping the fifteen new surprise tracks, after fans had already rushed out to buy multiple versions of the original record in an attempt to get their hands on the first four bonus tracks.

Speaking about the surprise second half of the release, Taylor told her followers that she had written “so much tortured poetry over the past two years” that she wanted to share it with her fans.
Sharing the double album was called The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, writing on Instagram: ‘It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album.
‘I’ve written so much tortured poetry over the past two years and I wanted to share it all with you, so here is the second part of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 additional songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.’
Although the deluxe version is not yet available for Taylor’s website, four different versions of the original album were available, each with a different bonus track.
