Shane and Victoria married in November 2018 in a ceremony at the City Hall of Copenhagen, Denmark, with Johnny Depp, Shane’s longtime boyfriend, playing guitar during the low-key ceremony.

In 2016, Victoria said Shane was sober for the first time in years, explaining how his drinking problem stemmed from years of “singing in bars and clubs where people go to drink and have fun.”

She claimed his spiral into alcohol addiction was the result of the introduction of hard drugs such as heroin.

The journalist said the singer got sober after a lengthy hospital stay when he was suffering from pneumonia and a hip injury, and that Shane continued his journey to sobriety when he returned home.
