Milly Alcock set Twitter on fire this week thanks to her drunken appearance on stage at the Golden Globes.

The House Of The Dragon star is a rising star thanks to her role as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the hit Game Of Thrones prequel.

His leading role has meant a move around the world, trading his mother’s penthouse in Sydney for an apartment in London’s quaint Primrose Hill, where he shares a postcode with his HotD co-star Matt Smith.

Milly started her acting career young, admitting that she has always been independent and driven growing up in Sydney with her mum, dad and two siblings.

An early school production of Little Red Riding Hood Rocking lit the fire, with a young Milly chasing ‘that euphoric feeling’ she found on stage.

She enrolled in a performing arts high school without telling her parents and became an agent at age 13.

“I called the agency, like, ‘Hey, can I audition?’ ‘Cause I learned very young that no one would do it for me,” she said.

Following the success of Upright, Milly decided that she needed to leave Australia to really pursue her dreams.

Speaking to Stellar magazine, Milly recalled the moment she heard she had won the role of The House Of The Dragon: “I never thought this would happen to me. I was washing dishes in a restaurant, living in my mother’s penthouse. .

Milly stole the spotlight during the show’s acceptance speech, looking heavily run-down as she clung on to co-star Emma D’Arcy (who took over the role of Alcock’s older version of Rhaenyra).

Viewers begged ‘drunk as hell’ Milly to ‘eat some bread’ while she, Emma and director Miguel Sapochnik accepted Best Television Series for the hit show, with clips of the moment going viral.

Milly is moving on to new ventures after House Of The Dragon went into a 10 year time skip after episode six.

Rhaenyra Targaryen has been replaced by her aging counterpart Emma D’Arcy and series creator Ryan Condal has admitted he’s not sure if Milly will be able to return to the role.

‘[Flashbacks] they’re not part of the story we’re telling yet,’ he told Variety.

Milly is not interested in returning to the fantasy genre at all, revealing that while she is “grateful” for the freedom her role has given her in choosing future projects, she will be moving away from similar roles.

‘I don’t want to do any of that. I’ve done it and I don’t need to do it again. I’m just waiting for the right project. I’m in no rush to jump on something,” he told the Herald Sun.
