Who is Mikaela Worley? All you need to know about Jeremy Reaves’ wife-to-be after he proposed on the field
Washington safety Commander Jeremy Reaves had the good news to celebrate twice Monday morning, as he got engaged moments after his team clinched the playoff spot.
Mikaela Worley was the lucky lady and said yes on the field at Northwest Stadium after Reaves got down on one knee.
Moments earlier, the Commanders had defeated the Atlanta Falcons dramatically in overtime, with their 30-24 victory securing their spot in the postseason for the first time since 2020.
The couple has been together for about 18 months, and in that time Worley has seen the Commanders flip the script after a miserable 2023 campaign.
The team’s problems last year coincided with the 28-year-old Reaves needing surgery to repair an ACL tear in October 2023.
This year, Worley was a regular at home and on the road cheering on Reaves and the Commanders.

Worley, 26, was born – like her fiancé Reaves – in Pensacola, Florida and is the youngest of three siblings.
It appears that Reaves and Worley are childhood friends from their days at Milton High School.
After his big moment, Reaves told the Associated Press: “That’s my best friend. I’ve been my best friend since high school.”
She attended college at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where she studied biology and played on the volleyball team for three years. She now works as a doctor’s assistant.
According to the team’s website, Worley’s mother was also a volleyball player, while her father played football at Livingston University.
Reaves admitted that he would have stopped her from proposing if the commanders had not defeated the Falcons.
“I hate losing, so there’s no way I could have done that in the right spirit after a loss,” he said. “That thing burned a hole in my pocket.
“If we win this match, it will be fate. She earned it. I can’t say enough about her. When I was at my lowest point last year (after ACL surgery), she was there to pick me up every day. She showed up.

‘You can tell a lot about someone when he or she experiences the worst and how he or she deals with it. I went through the worst last year when I came off an ACL.
‘Couldn’t do anything, couldn’t be my own man and she was the pillar of support when I couldn’t do it myself.’
The Commanders wrap up the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 5, traveling to the Dallas Cowboys before the playoffs begin the following weekend.
