Who is Marvin Humes?
Marvin Humes was born on March 18, 1985 in Greenwich, London, to a Jamaican father and a Scottish mother. The crooner also has two brothers: Leon and Jackson.
Humes previously appeared in Holby City and was in the band VS, which was formed by Blue member Simon Webbe.
But the Londoner is best known as one quarter of X Factor boy band JLS.
The foursome was formed by Oritsé Williams, who was scouted for numerous boy bands but found none were a good fit.
So Williams decided to form his own group and chose both Aston Merrygold and Humes to top it off.
He also asked JB Gill to join the group because of his ‘musical ear’, and as a result JLS was born.
But the group didn’t start out as JLS – they were originally called UFO, which stood for Unique Famous Outrageous.
The band made their debut on the fifth series of X Factor, but they had to change their name because UFO was taken over by another competitor.
They chose to go with JLS and initialize Jack the Lad Swing, the name of a sound they were developing.
JLS quickly stormed its way through the competition, taking second place behind Alexandra Burke.
The group signed to Epic Records and released a number of hits including Beat Again and Everybody in Love, while collecting numerous awards including BRITS and MOBOs.
JLS also reunited again this year for a huge reunion tour of the UK this year.

Marvin Humes is married to Rochelle Humes, a former member of the girl group The Saturdays.
The loved-up couple have been together since 2010, and Humes proposed to Rochelle a year later, on New Year’s Eve in 2011.
The couple officially tied the knot at Blenheim Palace a year later.
The presenters share two daughters, Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina, six, and a son, Blake, three.
However, things weren’t always smooth sailing for the couple, as they briefly split in November 2010 – after just eight months of dating.
Marvin dropped the bomb via JLS’ Twitter page: ‘I’m very sad to say it’s all true… Rochelle and I have split up… thank you for all your kind messages of support… I love you guys…Marv x.”
Rochelle shared a statement from her personal account, writing, “Hey guys, thanks for the messages! It’s all a bit strange sharing a fraction!
‘We broke up, but we’re still very good friends! You are nice.’
But the two singers couldn’t disagree for too long as they reconciled two months after their split, with Marvin officially putting a £45,000 ring on it during a picturesque holiday to Antigua.
Since then, the pair have been a co-presenting powerhouse.
