Madonna has been split from her new boyfriend Akeem Morris for a few months now, after splitting from her previous boyfriend earlier this year.
The newlyweds, who have a 37-year age gap, were spotted arm in arm in the Italian town of Portofino this week to celebrate the pop icon’s 66th birthday.
According to local Italian press, Madonna will celebrate the day at a private estate of Dolce & Gabbana and Akeem will be with her.
However, it has emerged that the Jamaican-born footballer has been in her life for a while now, after they previously appeared together in a magazine photoshoot.
Madonna, 65, and her new boyfriend Akeem, 28, both appeared in the same photoshoot for Paper magazine, which was published in August 2022.

The Like A Virgin singer was recently linked to 30-year-old Josh Popper, but sources close to Madonna claim their romance ‘has failed’.
After Madonna and Akeem appeared together in Paper, they weren’t seen together again until July 2024, when the musician posted him on her Instagram.
Madonna shared photos of herself cuddling with Akeen on July 4 as they celebrated the holiday together in New York City.
She later posted a photo of herself in bed with Akeem, among a flood of photos on her social media, with the caption: ‘Hot Fun In The Summer Time’.
At the time, Akeem’s ex-girlfriend shared videos on her TikTok page about his blossoming romance with Madonna.
She shared her feelings about the relationship, saying, “Raise your finger if your boyfriend of 3 years is now dating Madonna #madonna #breakup #wtf #2024 #heartbreak.”
Akeem, born on May 2, 1996, now lives in New York after being born in Jamaica.
Akeem earned a degree in Political Science and Public Administration after attending Stony Brook University from 2014 to 2017.
