The loved-up couple made it official in 2019 and later appeared together in Made In Chelsea.
But things haven’t been smooth sailing for the successful duo as they briefly split in September 2020 after it was revealed Zara had cheated.
In November 2020, it was confirmed that Zara – who cheated on Sam – managed to win him back, after months of trying.
A source exclusively told MailOnline: ‘They are definitely back together. This finally happened about two weeks ago. He took her back.”
When the news broke, the model, 23, took to Instagram to share another one of her famous throwbacks: this one taken on holiday during the summer in Mykonos.
She kisses Sam, 28, on a pier as the ocean stretches out behind them.
Zara cryptically captioned the image, “I promise you’ll always have my heart ,” leading fans to believe this was confirmation that they had reconciled.
After appearing on Love Island and Made In Chelsea, Zara decided to hang up her reality TV coat.
She chose to follow the route of documentary maker and TV presenter. She is also a model and an Instagram influencer.
But Mrs McDermott wasn’t Sam’s only love interest as he famously had a three-year on-and-off relationship with Tiffany Watson – the younger sister of Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson.

The pair split, leaving Sam in pieces. He even quit the show for a short period before making a comeback with Zara.
Sam also had a brief fling with XFactor star Amelia Lily after the two both starred in Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
But their romance quickly fizzled out as the Made In Chelsea star admitted he hadn’t treated the singer ‘very well’.
He told The Sun: ‘I’m back. I have no problem with it, I didn’t treat Amelia Lily very well. I didn’t treat my ex-girlfriend very well, which is why she dumped me.
‘I’ve been on the ground for a while and I think it’s time to pick myself up again. All my family and friends are like, ‘dude, just keep going,’ and so is everyone else.”
