The View’s Sunny Hostin is married to surgeon Dr. Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, who has been accused of medical fraud in a damning lawsuit.
Manny is one of nearly 200 defendants named in one of the largest RICO cases ever filed in New York.
He and many of the others are accused of receiving kickbacks by running an operation and fraudulently billing a company that insures taxi companies and Uber and Lyft drivers.
“Hostin knowingly provided fraudulent medical and other health care services, including arthroscopic surgeries,” alleges the lawsuit, which was filed on December 17.
His lawyer Daniel Thwaites told DailyMail.com that his client “denies every allegation” and called the lawsuit a “generic, scattershot, worthless lawsuit from a nearly bankrupt insurance company.”
Television host Sunny, who regularly appears on the ABC panel show alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navorro and Sara Haines, married her husband in 1998.

How did Emmanuel Hostin and Sunny meet?
Sunny and Manny met at church in Maryland, and Sunny recalled their first meeting in her memoir.
She wrote: ‘He was beautiful, dressed in a beautifully tailored suit.’
The broadcaster also admitted to following him to a nearby bagel shop after the service, where she worked up the courage to strike up a conversation.
Together, Sunny and Manny share two children: son Gabriel Hostin, born August 15, 2002, and daughter Paloma Hostin, born May 2006.
Sunny has spoken openly about her fertility journey, admitting she felt “ashamed” about struggling to conceive.
In an interview with Windy City Live, she said, “I struggled with infertility for years and I was embarrassed and ashamed of it for so long.
“I thought, I need to talk about this so that women know that they are not alone and that it is nothing to be ashamed of.”
What does Emmanuel Hostin do for work?
Manny has nearly thirty years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon and graduated from John Hopkins School of Medicine in 1996.
He currently practices as a physician in New York and is affiliated with Mount Sinai and Lenox Hill Hospitals.
In January 2021, Sunny revealed during an episode of The View that both her in-laws had died from Covid.

She said at the time: ‘After speaking with [my husband]he felt it was very important for me from a public health perspective to share that we are deeply saddened that Manny lost both of his parents over the holidays.
‘He lost his father on December 28 and his mother on New Year’s Day, both to Covid.’
Manny’s father, Dr. A. Emmanuel, had just turned 83 on Christmas Day. His mother, doctor Maria Jesus, turned 78 on Christmas Eve.
Both chose not to spend time with their families over Thanksgiving to protect their health.
“They were both doctors and they were both very careful,” she continued.
