According to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Heroes, Danis decided to train in mixed martial arts at the age of 15 after getting involved in a street fight in his home state of New Jersey.

Realizing his potential as a professional fighter, Danis joined an MMA academy and began training under the guidance of Jamie Cruz.

The fighter admitted at the time that he wasn’t strong and said when he competed he couldn’t do a single push-up.

To maximize his potential, Danis trained as a wrestler in Parsippany Hills with coach Jason Lodato on top of his mixed martial arts classes.

After graduating from his MMA academy, he moved to New York to become a professional fighter and train full-time at Marcelo Garcia’s academy.

He went on to win numerous tournaments in the arts in 2014 and 2015, eventually earning his black belt in 2015.

Danis’ wins caught the attention of those in the professional fighting world and he was called up in 2016 to train alongside UFC fighter Conor McGregor.

From 2015 to 2018, he competed in 34 MMA fights, achieving an 18-16 record.

During that time, he developed a reputation on social media as a bad boy, which led to Garcia cutting ties with him in 2017, saying he didn’t want Danis to be a representative of his academy.

In 2018, Danis made his UFC welterweight debut at the Bellator 198, taking on Kyle Walker and claiming the win.

In October 2018, Danis was involved in a skirmish at UFC 229 where he lost his mouthpiece and fought with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Danis was fined $7,500 and suspended for seven months after the incident.

His next fight took place at the Bellator 222 in June 2019 against Max Humphrey, which he also won.

The UFC bad boy was also arrested in September 2021 after getting into a fight with a bouncer outside a New Jersey nightclub.

Several months later, he was involved in another altercation at UFC 268 where he was removed from the building after a fight with an MMA executive.

Since then, Danis has largely kept a low profile until February 2023 when he was accused of taking cash to promote cryptocurrency and NFT scams.

Over the years, Danis has remained active on social media and recently used his pages to share taunts leading up to his fight with Logan Paul.

Danis has shared photoshopped photos of himself with Agdal and X-Rated photos of videos of the Danish model down the road with his millions of followers.

Agdal has remained quiet online amid the litany of messages and attacks from Danis.

Paul has largely kept things above board during his own promotion of the now highly anticipated fight.
