She graduated from NYU

The comedian grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey – a small town with a population of less than 5,000 people.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2019 from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study and minored in Middle Eastern Islamic studies.

The Gallatin Arts Festival Facebook page described her in a 2017 photo as: ‘A second year student studying theatre, music and dance as well as Middle Eastern Studies.’

“Her concentration examines the concepts of expression and oppression and the creation of art through a global and historical lens,” they continued.

Chloe has been a member of the Gallatin Theater Troupe, Gallatin Dancers Choreographers Alliance, Tisch New Theatre, Dangerbox improv, and served as president and co-host of the NYC Student Improv Jam.

The comedian has performed in venues such as Lincoln Center and Madison Square Garden and sang at her college graduation.

She previously worked with SNL writers and cast

Chloe won’t be a complete stranger to the writers and cast of the long-running comedy series – mainly because she’s already worked with many of them.

In 2021, she starred alongside SNL writers Martin Herlihy, John Higgins and Ben Marshall in the six-episode web series The Basics.

Chloe also has a role in the upcoming movie Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, which stars the three aforementioned authors.

The film is expected to be released on November 17 by Peacock.

SNL cast members Bowen Yang and Michael Longfellow will also appear in the film in untitled roles.

There have been instances of comedians auditioning for the show based on recommendations from SNL stars, Pete being an example after former cast member Bill Hader recommended him.

However, it is unknown if the writers she worked with in the past played a role in getting her an SNL audition.

What was she working on before her SNL casting announcement?

Chloe worked on comedy shows Adult Swim and at the Montreal Comedy Festival before joining SNL.

The Brooklyn-based comedian competed at the festival last July in the character category, which was hosted by former SNL star Chris Redd.

She also played the character Pepper Slit in her comedy show Pepper Slit in New York! Her last performance was on August 15 at The Slipper Room.
