Chelsea have found a new sponsor just in time for the start of the Premier League season, following a £40 million deal with Infinite Athlete.
Mail Sport previously announced that the Blues have signed a deal with US tech giants that would see the team wear the sponsored shirt in their first game of the new Premier League season at home to Liverpool on Sunday 13 August.
But who exactly is Infinite Athlete? What is the company’s history with Chelsea?

Who is Infinite Athlete?
Infinite Athlete has plans to become a major player in world football by providing affordable player data to clubs and enabling fans to watch matches from multiple camera angles.
It comes after a recent rebrand, where the previous name of Tempus Ex Machina was shelved in favor of Infinite Athlete.
In April 2023, Chelsea signed an agreement with sports technology company Tempus Ex Machina to enter into a seven-year partnership ‘to enable innovative technological improvements for the club and our global fan base’.
Earlier in April, Infinite acquired Athlete Biocore, a biomechanical engineering firm led by Jeff Crandall, with the intention of bringing Biocore’s patented technology to all partners.
The company already has a close relationship with the NFL, as Crandall chairs the league’s technical committee, which advises on how to reduce injuries. while also having a duty within PAC-12, which includes “tracking injuries and other uses for athlete health.”
There were concerns that the Blues would start the campaign without a sponsor, but those fears have been allayed after an image leaked online on Tuesday, August 8.

The news means the Blues can still go into the new season with a sponsor on the front of their shirts after going all pre-season without one.
The shirts worn by the Chelsea players clearly have no sponsorship, but presenter Olivia Buzaglo can be seen wearing a different version.
The shirt in her hand is folded, with the full name not visible, but Twitter investigators have discovered that the shirt has Infinite Athlete’s logo on the front.
The contract has been in the works for months and ends the club’s search for a new shirt sponsor after finalizing their deal with mobile service provider Three at the end of last season.
The news also represents a much-needed financial boost for owner Todd Boehly and his consortium, as well as avoiding the embarrassment of going into the 2023-24 season without a major deal.
