Sydney mother’s horrifying find when she checked on her toddler at Whiz Kidz Early Learning Centre
A mother of three was shocked to see her five-month-old son sleeping in a crib at his daycare center with his bib pulled over his head.
Shaleen Kumar, 33, worked as a chef at the Whiz Kidz Early Learning Center and Preschool in Pendle Hill, western Sydney, where her three young children also attended childcare.
Ms Kumar said that as she was preparing to serve afternoon tea to the children at the center on Wednesday, she passed by the nursery to check on her son.
But when she came in, she saw him lying on his side with his bib taped around his head.
The mother said she asked the staff to put the bib on because he had been drooling on his clothes, but to take it off when he slept.

After removing the bib herself and checking that her son was breathing properly, Mrs. Kumar returned to work, although shaken by what had happened.
The mother said the center used an app to record when checks were carried out on babies.
She claims her son was checked at 1.43pm on Wednesday and not again until 2.20pm.
“He could have been like that for more than half an hour,” she said, claiming she saw the staff member who allegedly checked on him in the canteen.
Ms Kumar has now quit her job at the centre. where she had worked for two months and said she had been paid for the rest of this week.
“I’m not going to send my kids to daycare again,” she said.
‘Can you imagine if I hadn’t walked in? Who do we trust with our children?’
Whiz Kidz head office has apologized to Ms Kumar, who now works in an informal role at another job.
She and her partner work alternately to care for their three children, ages four, two and five months.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Whiz Kidz for comment.
She said she asked the staff to put a bib on her son because he was drooling, but to make sure he took it off when he slept.

Ms Kumar has since left a negative review for the Pendle Hill center online, along with a photo of her son in the cot.
Other parents were shocked by the photo and have also bombarded the center with negative reviews.
Ms Kumar reported the incident to the Ministry of Education, which told her it would investigate.
