Pat Houston, the executor of the Whitney E. Houston estate, calls the project “a testament to Whitney’s heart.”

It added: ‘Her love of gospel music permeates each song with love, compassion and conviction.

‘To love Whitney is to love what she represents to all who love the gospel. I salute this project knowing that Whitney was always on solid rock because of her love of gospel music.”

Houston died from mixing a cocktail of Xanax and other powerful prescription drugs with alcohol, it was reported in 2012.

Los Angeles County coroner officials allegedly told his family that there was not enough water in his lungs to conclude that he had drowned in his luxury hotel bathtub and, in fact, died before his head sank in. said the gossip website TMZ.

The revelations come as news broke that her 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina allegedly fell asleep in a bathtub at the same Beverly Hilton hotel just 24 hours before her mother died.

TMZ claims that security was called to open the door and help the 18-year-old on that occasion.

Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown, with whom she had a notoriously turbulent 14-year relationship plagued by drug use, was in Nashville at the time of her death and their daughter’s trips to the hospital.

Brown, whom he partly blamed for his drug problems, was said to be “in and out of crying fits” upon hearing the news of his death.

But he still appeared on stage with his band New Edition.

He yelled ‘I love you, Whitney!’ in the middle of the concert
