It was Saturday fight night in Cleveland when Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson sparked a wild bench-clearing brawl that led to multiple evictions.

The incredible scenes began in the bottom of the sixth when Guardians star Ramirez dove through the legs of Chicago White Sox second baseman Anderson in an attempt to reach base.

Ramirez seemed to take issue with Anderson standing over him a little too long, and the pair exchanged words before the Cleveland man got back to his feet.

A referee came between them in an attempt to calm tensions, but the damage was done and Anderson removed his glove to signal the start of a fight.

The pair exchanged relentless blows, with Anderson swinging first, before Ramirez caught his rival with a brutal right hook, flooring him straight away.

Both benches emptied as Cleveland players held off Ramirez, while Anderson’s Chicago teammates helped him off the dirt and tried to keep things from escalating further.

The bullpen then entered the field as the fight calmed down, and Anderson was ejected and quickly left the field.

Just when it looked like the chaos was over, the benches were cleared again and a second fight ensued, with White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech and Guardians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase trading punches.

Incredibly, after noticing the follow-up fight, Anderson re-entered the field in an attempt to continue his altercation with Ramirez.

The umpires desperately tried to calm down the situation, handing out multiple expulsions, before finally managing to calm down the players and staff to resume play.

In the top of the eighth, the White Sox led 5-2 against the Guardians.
