White House strongly condemns ‘repugnant’ comments made by Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar: ‘There are not two sides’

White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre called the statements of some Democratic members of Congress “disgusting” as she told reporters on Tuesday that “there are no two sides” when it comes to terror attacks on Israel.

Jean-Pierre was asked about comments by Democratic lawmakers that “seem to equate the terrorist attack by Hamas with actions previously undertaken by Israel.”

Three members of the left-wing ‘Squad’ – representatives Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush – are under fire for their responses to the horrific attacks, which have killed at least 1,000 Israelis, mostly civilians.

“Our condemnation belongs squarely to the terrorists who have brutally murdered, raped and kidnapped hundreds – hundreds of Israelis,” he continued. “There can be no doubt about that. There are no two sides here, there are no two sides.’

Omar, who is Muslim and has faced trouble in the past for using anti-Semitic stereotypes, initially condemned the Hamas attack on Saturday.

He also asked the international community to pray for the Palestinians as Israel responded to the Hamas attack.

On Monday, Omar called out Israel’s response to the terror attack.
