White Fox founder comes under fire for throwing a lavish Christmas lunch for her top staff at mansion with the world’s ‘finest’ caviar – as the brand is slammed for online shopping delays

The owner of the controversial fast fashion giant White Fox Boutique organized an extensive Christmas lunch for her employees, served Iranian caviar and appeared to give them a free holiday.

The company, owned by Australian couple Georgia and Daniel Contos, has been criticized online in recent weeks after massive delays and claims of 'poor customer service' in the run-up to Christmas.

Customers have complained about weeks-long wait times for their orders to be shipped, claiming they received no response or a “substandard” response from the brand when they asked how long they would wait for their products.

Ms Contos hosted a Christmas lunch at her home in Vaucluse with other White Fox employees, including her sister-in-law Sarah Contos, who handles creative content for the brand.

White Fox Head of Product, Tiara Lepore, and the brand's Head of Creative, Laura Thomson, were also at the Christmas event.

Footage shared by Sarah shows a group of young women enjoying a seafood pasta with two large cans of Iranian Beluga caviar, considered 'the best of all caviar'. A 50 gram can costs $625.50.

In another post uploaded to Sarah's Instagram Story, the group is seen with makeshift tickets for a trip from Sydney to the Gold Coast, believed to have been gifted by Ms Contos to her staff.

“A couples getaway, let's go,” Sarah wrote next to the photo of the plane tickets, which had cheerful Christmas messages on them. It is understood the gifts may have been intended for Ms Contos' staff and their partners.

The group hosted a similar Christmas gathering last year, along with the caviar and seafood pasta.

“It's so frustrating for customers waiting for refunds and orders from White Fox to have these photos shoved in their faces,” one customer told Daily Mail Australia.

“I hope they enjoyed the caviar.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted White Fox for comment. The company posted a message to its 2 million Instagram followers on Thursday morning.

“The customer service team is experiencing a high volume of inquiries at this time, so please allow additional business days for a response,” they said.

'Our team currently has extended opening hours and extra assistance to ensure you receive a response as quickly as possible.

'Please note that if you send multiple emails you will be at the back of the queue as we work in chronological order. We appreciate your patience and understanding.”

White Fox's Instagram page is flooded with comments from angry customers wanting to know when their orders will be delivered.

'Every day I check my emails to see if I have received a response to my email sent over a month ago. But I'm disappointed I didn't see one. Then without fail I open my Instagram and see an obnoxious post from White Fox,” someone commented on the company's latest post.

“I'm still waiting for a refund after almost three months but still haven't received any emails or anything about this,” said another.

'I returned my item for a store credit over 6 weeks ago. After lots of emails and DMs here and TikTok, I got nothing. This is ridiculous now!!” wrote one.

“The nerve of you to continue posting when customers are literally begging for their orders,” one person said.

Many of the comments included responses from White Fox asking them to send them a DM (direct message) to arrange their order, along with a love heart emoji.

Earlier this month, the founders of White Fox organized a boat party full of influencers.

On November 19, the brand rented a banquet hall to celebrate their tenth anniversary, titled the White Fox 10th Anniversary Gala.

Prizes were handed out to staff, including trophies for 'messiest desk' and 'most chaotic energy', while each place setting included a bottle of tequila.

Last week, Georgia Contos told FEMAIL she had all hands on deck to get orders quickly.

'The team is currently working seven days a week and longer hours. Including myself and Daniel helping in the warehouse,” she said. 'We are currently shipping over 20,000 to 25,000 orders per day.'

She admitted that they receive 5,000 customer inquiries every day about delays.

“We have been preparing for these sales by increasing our warehouse staff as well as additional customer service resources,” she said.

“Unfortunately, despite all these preparations, we still exceeded our sales targets three times.”

She was very apologetic about the delays and said she understands it is frustrating “that's why the entire team from all departments is helping to fulfill the orders.”

“These are huge numbers for any Australian-based company and we are experiencing tremendous growth at the moment.”

Georgia, 32, and Daniel Contos, 33, have spent more than $120 million buying up homes in the Vaucluse.

They own three homes, valued at $25 million, $34.5 million and $38 million, and all three are right next to each other.

Their real estate portfolio has led to feverish speculation that the Contos plan to demolish all three homes and build a mega-mansion on the now nearly 3,500-square-foot property.

That monumental task of turning three properties into one will take some time, so in the meantime the couple is reportedly living in a house built in the 1920s.

The couple came from humble beginnings, with Ms Contos saying she had no money when they launched the business, and relied heavily on social media.

The Contos' started selling clothes on eBay in 2013, when they were in their early twenties, offering the latest fashion trends at affordable prices.

Despite having no background in the industry, the venture proved to be a great success and was the start of the brand worn by the likes of the Kardashian sisters Sofia Richie, Hailey Baldwin and Emily Ratajkowski.
