If you select a location on the map, you will see which series have used that location as a filming location and which scenes take place there.

The map isn’t just limited to the UK. If you fancy a trip to King’s Landing from Game of Thrones or want to follow in the footsteps of Emily in Paris, you can easily find where these scenes were filmed.

In the United Kingdom, the many castles and stately homes found across the country are some of the most recognisable locations for films and television series.

Of all the series set in these stunning locations, Downton Abbey is perhaps the most iconic.

The series, which has been airing since 2010, was filmed in 16 locations across England and Wales.

Downton Abbey itself is represented by Highclere Castle, a Grade I listed country house dating from 1679.

The stately exterior of this impressive building and its many rooms serve as filming locations for scenes in the library, dining room and several bedrooms from the series.

Another TV show that impressively captures Britain’s historic buildings is Bridgerton.

Set in an alternate Regency period, this Netflix romance series makes use of many of the era’s buildings that still stand today.

The show was filmed in 11 different locations across the UK, including Bristol, Bath, Chatham and Surrey.

However, the series does not always accurately depict these historical locations and is therefore more than happy to interchange the names of the locations.

For example, a number of scenes in the series were filmed in Stowe Park in Buckinghamshire, which were used to represent the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in London.

Netflix’s Bridgerton uses a number of historical buildings as backdrops, including the Holburne Museum in Bath (left), which is used to represent the home of Lady Danbury (pictured), which features in the very first episode

But Britain has also been the setting for more modern TV series such as Baby Reindeer and Killing Eve.

Many of the key scenes in Baby Reindeer were filmed at the locations visited by the real Richard Gadd during the events that inspired the series.

For example, one of Richard’s stand-up comedy sets in the show was filmed at the Bethnal Green Working Man’s Club, which continues to host new and emerging comedy acts.

Killing Eve was filmed in six locations across the UK, most of them in London.

Baby Reindeer was filmed at several locations in London where the real events from Richard Gadd’s story are said to have taken place, including the Bethnal Green Working Man’s Club (left) where Richard gives a stand-up comedy performance in the show (right)

Game of Thrones’ iconic landscapes were largely filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia (left), which served as the backdrop for King’s Landing (right)

In Game of Thrones, the King’s Road, which provides the backdrop for several key scenes (right), was shot at The Dark Hedges in County Antrim, Northern Ireland (left)

The series also features several scenes from season two filmed at Magdalen College in Oxford, where Villanelle sets her sights on destroying Eve’s marriage to her husband Niko in season two.

Outside the UK, some of the most recognisable sets from a TV drama can be found in Game of Thrones.

Part of what made HBO’s hit fantasy drama so captivating was the beautiful landscapes used during filming.

Many of the series’ most iconic locations are located in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

From the impressive King’s Landing and the Red Castle to the bustling streets of Flea Bottom, Dubrovnik’s medieval character provided the perfect setting for the show.

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, the beautiful avenue of ancient trees known as the Dark Hedges provided the setting for the Kingsroad in the TV series.

However, experts warn that many trees on the avenue are now dying and pose a safety risk to visitors.
