When asked what a hug means, Isaiah said, “It means like putting your arms around someone, but not quite strangling them.”
To the question: ‘What does it mean when you hug someone? What does it mean for how you feel about them?’ the eight-year-old replied, “It means you love them.”
The video on TikTok has been viewed more than 180,000 times and generated thousands of comments, with many recalling similar interactions with their parents or children.
“Only fathers will understand how much that father needed that,” is the most liked response.
‘Ten minutes after I left for work, my bride called to say my boy was crying because he didn’t hug me. I turned around and went back home,” wrote another.
