Where to unlock Echoes of Vana’diel and Jeuno: The First Walk
Before you can unlock the Alliance Raid, you need at least 1 completed the main scenario quest “Dawntrail”. (the last part of the 7.0 MSQ), have a combat lane at level 100and have one item level of at least 695. This is pretty standard, and you should be here just after you complete the assignment Dawn trail expansion.
To start the Echoes of Vana’diel quest line you need to talk to the NPC “Hoobigo messenger” in Tuliyollal to start the quest ‘An Alien Encounter’.
After following a few NPCs and watching a few cutscenes, you’ll unlock ‘Jeuno: The First Walk’ in the same quest as above.
Note that there are a few quests as part of the storyline that you need to complete after the heist – which you should do, as this will likely be a prerequisite for the second heist that will start later.
Echoes of the Vana’diel Alliance plunder loot and rewards
Please note that until patch 7.2 (or thereabouts, based on previous expansions) Jeuno: The First Walk will have drop restrictions, allowing you to only pick up one piece of gear per week, which coincides with the weekly reset. If you roll Need of Green on a piece of equipment from a chest and win it, you won’t be able to get a new piece of equipment until it resets, so roll carefully!
The armor sets, called the Ark angel armor, looks like this (and we’ve labeled each set so you can see what you’re looking at):
You can also get torn sheet music from chests, which you can trade with a specific goblin NPC in Lower Jeuno for Echoes of Vana’diel orchestration scrolls, a Nano Lord minion, and a Nano Lord Triple Triad card, if you’re lucky with your rolls. These drops have no limitations.
You also get one once a week Ordelle coin of completing Aglaia. You can exchange this Surgelight rope And Surgelight icing to expand your Quetzalli tomestone gear. Exchange the coins to Uah’shepya in Solution nine:
You can trade the rope and icing with Hhihwi, another NPC vendor standing next to the vendor above.
The Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance Raid series will get two more raids: one launching with patch 7.3 and another launching in patch 7.5, as long as the game continues to follow previous expansion schedules.
