Where to find the NES006 copy in Destiny 2

NES006Failsafe’s sixth Specimen ID, hit Lot 2 on the July 30th weekly reset as part of Episode: Echoes. It’s very hard to find. Unlike samples one through five, there are no hints or waypoints to show you where to find this new sample.

In this Lot 2 guide, I will guide you in finding NES006how the next “Copy ID: NES006“quest, and the Failsafe research bay what upgrades you get for it.

NES006 is the Assimilated torch hammerthe weapon used by Vex Minotaurs, and you can use it in any of the Echoes of battlefields from this episode.

I found mine in the “Core” Battleground, the last in the series of three. It is near the end of the mission, just before you jump down to face the boss. When you reach the rally flag, turn left and you will find a giant geyser of Vex Radiolaria behind the glass. You will find NES006, the Assimilated Torch Hammer, hiding in the corner.

While Battleground matchmaking is random – meaning you can’t just select “Core” – you can go back and re-matchmake until you finally get the one you’re looking for. I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you’re in a Fireteam of friends, however, as it’s a rude move to take advantage of the other Guardians you’re matchmaking with.

Since you can only find the NES006 monster once per account, I can’t tell you exactly where to find it in the other two Battlegrounds. However, if you do get a Battleground that isn’t “Core”, keep an eye on the left side of your screen for the “Proximity sensor” message to appear. Use this sensor to find NES006 yourself.

If you happen to have the “To dive”Battlefield, you can use it Skarrow9′Watch the video above to find NES006.

How to Complete the ‘Specimen ID: NES006’ Quest in Destiny 2

A Guardian picks up the Specimen ID: NES006 from Failsafe in Destiny 2

Once you return to Failsafe and see the message “Copy ID: NES006” quest, you will have to do a lot of work to earn the rewards. Here are the three main steps, which you must perform in a fixed order:

  1. Get the finishing blows with a handgun or automatic rifle
  2. Get the final blows of Arc of Solar
  3. Generate energy balls

The easiest and fastest way to do this is in the Shuro-Chi raid encounter in Last Wish. Use the Wishing Wall to warp to Shuro Chi and kill all enemies repeatedly. Khvostovthe new Exotic auto rifle from The final shape expansion, is great for both the auto rifle step and the Orbs of Power step (assuming you have the Kinetic siphon mod in your helmet first). For Arc and Solar final blows, try weapons like Risk runner or Ticuu’s Divination.

If you don’t want to do Shuro Chi, you can eventually achieve these goals by completing Lost Sectors on Nessus or doing other activities in the world.

Once you generate all Orbs of Power and return to the HELM, you will unlock two Failsafe upgrades:

  • Data Format Cipher: Unlocks additional engrams when opening Echo Chests.
  • Combat Protocol Override: Detects the presence of high-value targets in Echoes Battlegrounds. Defeat the high-value target for bonus rewards.

The Combat Protocol Override activates a number of previously dormant portals in each new Battleground. You can see this upgrade in action in Skarrow9’s video, posted in the previous section of this guide.
