Where to find the Climbing Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Climbing armor set is one of the most dexterous armor sets out there The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As with the Barbarian Armor, the set is making a comeback Breath of the Wild — although the steps to find all three pieces are vastly different. But if you want to climb as fast as possible, this is your best option.

Keep in mind that you will probably hear about the armor naturally during your travels. For example, an NPC shared a hint about one of the pieces, and you might also come across treasure maps related to this armor set. That said, you can skip the busy work; you don’t need to find such information in the game to open the climbing armor chests.

This guide explains where to find the locations of the Climbing Armor set Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom so that you can reach (the highest possible) speed.

Location of the chestpiece of the climbing armor

You can find the Climbing Gear in the North Hyrule Plain Cave at the coordinates (-1188, 0646, 0072), northwest of Lookout Landing, between the main road that joins Carok Bridge to North Hyrule Plain. If you’re on your way to New Serenne Stable, take a detour to the right to find the entrance on the side of a hill.

As soon as you hop in, you’ll be greeted by two Like Likes. Yuck. If you haven’t fought it yet, I recommend keeping your distance and going for a bait-and-switch approach.

Get close to them until they open their mouths and you see a glowing bump, which is their weak point. Attacking the weak point will stun them, giving you a chance to keep damaging them.

like you Doing if you get swallowed you don’t lose that much health. But it’s best to avoid it. And if a Like Like spits boulders at you, activate To remind to rewind the roll and send it back to them.

Next you need to climb up. I found the left wall much more accessible – when you get into the water you slip, so you have to rely on your jumps or find a way to dry Link’s clothes (making a campfire can help if you’re really struggling).

The key is to keep going up until you come across two waterfalls. You will find a Horriblin guarding them, which you can take down by using them To remind once they throw a stone at you, similar to the Like Like. You can then attack them while they are stunned on the ground. Your bow will also work just fine.

You will then come out on a path to the right side of the cave. There are two waterfalls on your left, one below and one above.

Jump in the water and swim over the waterfall at the top as the chest chamber is on the other side of it. You can use Ultra handy to scan the surrounding area as well, and you’ll be able to spot the chest.

Once on the other side, go ahead and open it up Climbing equipment. This armor piece has 3 defenseand increases your rate of climb.

You can find the Climbing Boots in Upland Zorana Byroad at the coordinates (2858, 0354, 0227)a cave west of the Zora’s Domain, north of Ralis Pond, and east of the Zora River on the map.

This cave can be quite confusing at first, but here’s the main route to the armor (you’re then free to explore the rest on your own!). The first large room, which has a small pool of water, opens onto two paths.

The one on the left has a Like Like covered in rocks, guarding a passage while hanging from the left wall. The one on the right, where we’re going, has another Like Like covered in rocks, and there’s an opening in the wall from which you can access it.

Eliminate the enemy or march on. You will end up on a path below with a climbing wall on the other side.

If you have a sharp weapon with you, such as a sword or an axe, you can just cut through it. If not, one bomb flower will help you – if you don’t have one I saw some around the cave. (As mentioned in our tips guide for beginners, you can use Ultrahand to scan the environment for them!).

Next you will see a flooded room with statues and ruins. It may seem daunting, but the task here is quite simple. Make your way across by swimming or jumping on the ruin structures to stay afloat and get to the other side.

There you will see a door. Usage Ultra convenient to grab it and then slide it up.

Doing this will remove most of the water from the chamber. Unlike other similar structures in other caves, you don’t have to use this one To remind so that the door stays in place. Hold it up until the water is gone. You are free to put it back down afterwards.

From here you are free to explore the room and loot what you may have missed. There are new doors that you can now access without the flood, and the one with the Climbing Armor chest inside is under the stairs to the right of the door you just lifted.

Go through the entrance and into the room where you’ll find the chest with the Climbing shoes inside. This armor piece has 3 defenseand increases your rate of climb.

Location of the head piece of the climbing armor

You can find the Climber’s Bandanna head piece in the Ploymus Mountain Cave at the coordinates (3663, 0539, 0272), which is located east of the Zora’s Domain. As you climb to Mipha Court at the top, you will of course come across Lulu Lake.

The layout of this cave is simple, but navigating it is quite cumbersome. You have to climb on the different surfaces in front of you to get to the other side. As with the caves above, since it is likely that Link will be wet from the rain or the nearby lake, he will quickly slip while climbing.

That’s why I suggest you leave this headpiece for last, as you’ll greatly benefit from that double boost to get the climbing speed of the climbing shoes and climbing gear. Once you’re equipped, it’s a matter of patience. I recommend starting on the left side of the cave, grabbing onto walls, climbing a bit and jumping straight to the side of the next ledge.

There are a few times when you see a rock between ledges that you can stand on. If one of the ledges seems far away, try the one on the other side, which is a rule of thumb that has saved me a few times in this cave.

If you can, go to the right side of the cave and paraglide to the left side again. As you approach the end, you’ll see a larger ledge than usual. You can climb to the wall to the left of it and jump to the ledge from there.

After the last climb you are on the high ground. All you have to do is go through an open passage on your right, which leads straight to the treasure room. The box inside has the Climber bandana. This armor piece has 3 defense, and increases your rate of climb. That’s the whole Climbing Armor set!
