Where to find the Barbarian Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Barbarian armor set is one of the best armor sets out there The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like the Climbing Armor, it’s making a comeback Zelda: Breath of the Wild, all three pieces – chest, legs and rudder – are scattered in different caves around Hyrule. It’s worth the treasure hunt though, as each treasure increases Link’s attack.

Keep in mind that during your travels you may come across treasure maps related to this armor set, or an NPC may point to their locations. But not you need to obtain this info in-game to physically open the chests containing the Barbarian Armor. If you want to skip the busy work (or just double-check that your guess is correct), this guide will help. Here you will find the locations of the Barbarian Armor set Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Barbarian Armor chestpiece location

You will find the Barbarian Armor chest piece inside Crenel Hills Cave on the coordinates (0484, 0729, 0041), northeast of Lookout Landing and southwest of ‘Crenel Hills’ when you look at the map. There are Luminous Stone Ores on each side, so just follow the light blue ores to the inside of the cave.

There are plenty of ores to destroy inside. But if your eyes are only on the prize, here’s the gist. The cave has the shape of a circle surrounded by pillars. If you go downtown, a Stone talus will come out of the water, which can be quite difficult to deal with depending on your current gear.

If you want to avoid the sequence altogether, you can. Once you drop to the ground, stay close to the wall on your left and just circle around the cave. You’re free to make noise, so destroy ores and pick up items while you’re at it.

Then, once you get to the other side of the cave (opposite where you first drop off after the entrance, give or take), you’ll see an open path above.

Climb up to it and at the very end you will find the chest with the Barbarian Armor Chestpiece. It has 3 defense standard, and grants +1 attack power.

Barbarian Armor legs piece location

You will find the Barbarian Leg Wraps inside Walnot Mountain Cave on the coordinates (3931, -2068, 0129), east of Hateno Village past the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. If you zoom in on the map, the entrance is right next to a small lake south of Retsam Forest.

I’ll be honest here: this cave is kind of intense. There are some pretty tough and annoying enemies. A mix of Bokoblins, including a large goblin similar to the one you fight to capture Hyrule Field’s Skyview Tower; ice Keese; and ice cream Like Likes are waiting for you inside.

Of course, you are free to tackle the cave as you see fit. If you don’t approach it early, you might have some decent equipment to survive the encounters. If not, which was my case, I recommend running for it to grab the armor.

You can work your way through the first half of the cave just fine by hitting the Keese with a melee weapon, as they are quite weak. Then once you see an opening to climb to the upper level of the cave – where the Bokoblins usually patrol – go for it.

You’ll notice that the path naturally leads to another end of the cave, which is protected (and signaled!) by an ice Like Like hanging from the ceiling. Dodge his attacks and then jump to the opening, which will take you straight to the chest room.

One last step. The chest is stuck in ice, which is annoying. I threw some fire fruits that I carried, that slowly melt with every impact. If you happen to have a flaming torch, you can get close to it until it also melts.

Once you can actually open the chest, the Barbarian leg bandages will be yours. This armor piece has 3 defenseand adds +1 attack power.

You will find the Barbarian Helmet inside Robbed Dropoff Cave on the coordinates (2487, -1467, 0013), southeast of Karariko village. If you zoom in on the map, the entrance is slightly northwest of the name “Robred Dropoff” itself, and south of the Falian Highlands.

Fortunately, it is quite easy to spot, as there are several stone carvings leading to it. A bit creepy, yes, but also useful.

The stone carvings, as a message at the entrance warns you, will show you the way to the treasure. Now the cave might sound complicated, but it’s quite easy if you know where to look in advance. As a rule of thumb, if you see stone carvings facing in a certain direction, they are subtly pointing you in the right direction.

That said, there are no traps if you get lost. At worst, you end up having to backtrack a bit. Just make sure you have explosive items like bomb flowers or all weapons imbued with a stonebecause you have to manually make your way through rock walls.

Speaking of which, the first great room has multiple groups of stone carvings and three possible paths. If you look closely, all the stone statues are facing the center of the circle around them, while a group of three are looking straight at a rock face – that is where to go.

If you’re curious, the other trails go in a circle. You can grab a few useful materials if you want, but if you’re just here for the armor, take the aforementioned path directly.

The path leads you to a room full of Bokoblins, which is… fun. The chest is on the other side of the room – there are two stone statues facing it, but there’s a locked door between them, so it’s a no-no. To get there, you must destroy the rocks (the same color as the rock walls you’ve destroyed so far) that are right in the middle of the room.

If you have bomb flowers, throw or shoot an arrow fused with an arrow at the rocks. That should create a gap. If you don’t, but you carry a weapon with a stone, you can jump and attack so Link hits the ground, leading to the same result. If you’re worried about the goblins, ice is quite effective with them, in case you have one White Chuchu jelly or similar in your inventory.

Now there is a path for you to climb down, which leads to three groups of stone statues. From left to right, the first has five statues, the second has one and the third has three.

The key here is to get in front of the group with three stone statues, where there is a kind of plateau, and then To take off. This will lead you straight to the chest chamber.

Three similar statues await you upstairs, which is a bit creepy, but that’s the last step. Go ahead and get the Barbarian helmet. It has 3 defense standard, and grants +1 attack power. You can then use Ascend again to return to the previous path in the cave, or you can just quickly travel away if you don’t want to complete the cave at this point.

When wearing the entire Barbarian Armor set Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you have +3 attack power, which is a great advantage. If you need to mix and match for whatever reason, having at least one equipped will still be fruitful.
