A makeup artist has revealed the one section of your face you should never apply concealer to.
Kat, who heads the Shine Beauty TikTok page, shared a video that demonstrates why women over 40 shouldn’t wear makeup below the outer corners of their eyes.
In the clip, the makeup artist, from California, smiled briefly to show the tiny wrinkles in her eyes and why concealer doesn’t do anything to hide wrinkles.
Stop right there if your eyes look like this! Don’t put concealer on this area,’ Kat said.

Kat, who heads up the Shine Beauty TikTok page, shared a video demonstrating where women should apply their concealer. She suggests applying makeup only to the inner corners of the eyes (right) rather than the outer corners (left).
“First of all, you can’t hide wrinkles,” Kat said in the clip.
“It’s hiding the darkness and discoloration, which is typically in this area of your eye (the inner corners).”
Using her two pink fingers, she pointed to the place where women should wear makeup to hide impurities: at the inner corners of the eyes near the nose, where darkness usually begins.
With a brush he once again pointed out the wrinkles and recommended using a skin care and an eye cream at night.
In the comments, Kat said that the eye cream differs from the moisturizer in the size of the molecule and the impact it has on mature skin.
‘The eye cream is formulated differently… Tested by an ophthalmologist. I always use an eye cream,’ he wrote.
Since then, the how-to video has received more than 8,000 likes, and hundreds of women found the tips helpful.
‘I love this!’ one person wrote, another added: ‘Totally agree.’
Some would say it’s best to start using eye cream in your 20s, but others suggest your early to late 30s.
