President Donald Trump set off on his historic post-presidential trip from Mar-a-Lago to New York to book without the company of former first lady Melania Trump or son Barron.
Trump flew to New York on the eve of his arraignment in the Stormy Daniels investigation, along with a string of close aides, including former White House aide Margo Martin, adviser Jason Miller and former aide Dan Scavino.
Some of his aides were seen aboard his Boeing 757 bearing the Trump logo for a flight whose movements were broadcast live on cable networks.

The trip came as it was revealed that Trump was adding yet another attorney to his law stable, New York criminal defense attorney Todd Blanche. who previously represented former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who was imprisoned on corruption charges.
Trump flew from Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Florida, to New York’s LaGuardia Airport as he prepared are arrested and fingerprints are taken in the Stormy Daniels case in Manhattan Criminal Court.
It is known that at the beginning of the Trump presidency, Melania Trump spent months in the couple’s Trump Tower apartment.
Daniels claims she had a sexual affair with Trump in 2006, a month after Melania gave birth to Barron, who is now 17.
She spoke in Trump’s defense during the “Access Hollywood” scandal late in the 2016 campaign.
Despite her absence, Melania Trump supports her husband, a source told DailyMail.com last week.
‘Mrs. Trump is strong. She is focused on her family and stands by her husband, as always,” the source said. “Over the past 7 years, the left has made multiple attempts to smear and attack her family and this is just the latest attempt to bring him down.”
