Where is Julie Chrisley? Fans speculate where disgraced reality TV star is after prison says she is ‘not in their custody’

Fans are wondering where famous reality star Julie Chrisley is after the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) announced she is no longer in custody.

The discovery was made last week, when a Reddit user posted a screenshot of the agency’s website showing that the former Atlanta resident — who was found guilty of financial crimes along with her husband Todd in 2022 — was no longer “in the custody of the BOP.”

That still stands after the U.S. Marshals Service reported Thursday that the 51-year-old woman is in custody as she awaits a new sentencing in federal court.

The agency handles the transportation of federal prisoners, though her whereabouts remain unknown. There is a federal prison transfer facility in Atlanta, Georgia, and Chrisley is scheduled to appear in court on September 25.

It’s still unclear why the BOP star from The Chrisley Knows Best was taken into custody so early. Additionally, the BOP refused to provide location information due to “safety, security or privacy” concerns.

“Individuals previously held by the FBOP who have not yet served their sentences may be released from the custody of the FBOP for a period of time for court appearances, medical treatment or other reasons,” a spokesperson said.

The agency’s prisoner tracker still indicates that the convicted fraudster died on May 7, 2028.

On Sunday morning she reported that she was not in custody at the BOP.

Daughter Savannah, who played alongside her imprisoned parents and recently appeared at the RNC, spoke about the couple’s criminal case on her podcast Tuesday, but she said nothing about her mother’s whereabouts.

During an episode in July, she said the heat in Julie’s Kentucky prison had caused her mother to become “physically ill.”

“Luckily, there is air conditioning in the visiting room,” Savannah said of the alleged conditions at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington.

‘But outside the visiting room there is no air conditioning whatsoever.

‘The temperature was 40-43 degrees Celsius and that’s exactly what mother lives in, in conditions like this, with no air supply.

“And it can get as hot as 38 degrees in the building,” the 27-year-old continued.

She literally said she was physically sick because she was so hot.

“So you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they are passing out. But then you have service dogs that have air conditioning,” Savannah said.

It’s all nonsense to me.

“It’s so inhuman that you can’t make it up. And it’s hard.”

She made her comments days before she was scheduled to appear at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to criticize the Biden administration over her parents’ detention. She added: “Mom is super excited about the visit because she gets to be in an air-conditioned room.

“It makes me realize how much we take for granted.”

During a July episode, she revealed how the heat in Julie’s Kentucky prison (seen here) had caused her mother to become “physically ill.” She was incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022

In June, the 11th Court of Appeals overturned Julie’s sentence, finding there was insufficient evidence that she was involved in financial crimes committed by the federal government before 2007.

The court nevertheless upheld the lower court’s ruling that Julie was guilty, allowing the lower courts to resentence her this month.

Patriarch Todd, meanwhile, will continue to serve the remainder of his now 10-year prison sentence for defrauding banks of fraudulent loans and plotting to defraud the IRS. The sentence runs until January 2033.

At the time of this writing, he will not be re-sentenced.

Both made a name for themselves with Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014.

The story follows Todd, a self-made millionaire from Atlanta, and the adventures of his family.

In 2023, the case came to an abrupt end after the couple was convicted following an extensive investigation by the Department of Justice.

Julie’s hearing is still scheduled for September 25, where she will face a new sentence for her bank fraud and tax evasion charges.
