Archie returns to Lot 2 with a trip to the EDZ after the weekly reset of May 7, 2024.
This is the last in a series of “Where in the system is Archie” missions following the Into the Light update — which will be distributed week by week leading up to The final shape.
Please note: This quest will expire on the weekly reset of May 14 and will be replaced by another Archie mission in a new location. Provided you are complete each Archie quest before the arrival of The final shapeyou will get your hands on the Blue Steel shader, while the lore for all Archie missions will be available from June 4.
How to start ‘Where in the EDZ is Archie?’ in Fate 2
To start the latest ‘Where’s Archie’ mission, go to the tower’s outbuilding and look for the footprints. For future reference, here’s the start of each Archie mission each week.
You can reach this location by using the fastest travel point in the southwest and then continuing straight into the corridor. The paw prints will appear on the edge to your right.
Examine the prints and talk to Ada-1 (found in the attachment opposite) to start the latest quest.
Now head to the EDZ and speak to the vendor Devrim Kay at his usual spot in Trostland Church. Once done, the quest begins.
All Archie EDZ locations
This is where you can find Archie in the EDZ, one clue at a time.
“Archie heard about some feathers behind a fireplace. He hopes to find the location of a glowing bird
The first clue points to a fireplace not far from Devrim’s location. Head east from Trostland Church and you will see this building on the corner.
Longtime Destiny 2 players will remember this as a key location in the Hawkmoon mission – which is what the glowing bird in the clue refers to.
Jump to the second floor of this building and find the paw prints in front of the fireplace. Investigate it to find the next clue.
Luckily the next spot is not far away.
‘Archie heard that Guardians have picked up a fun new hobby called ‘fishing’ and went to check out that location
You will find this location on the south coast of Outskirts. The easiest way to find this is to go to the Winding Cove fast travel point and then head east along the coast to the next point on the map:
Examine the paw prints for another clue.
It’s time to find a big ship.
‘Archie heard about a “ship full of tanks and space rhinos” and decided to take a look at the location
This clue refers to Skydock IV, which is located in the northwestern part of the EDZ. Use the Sunken Isle fast travel point, then head to the inside of the huge ship to the west.
Just before you enter the actual ship, you see the paw prints.
Examine the last clue.
Time to go to one Beyond the light favorite, The Dark Forest.
“Archie’s last stop. He heard some Guardians talking about “the place where we reclaimed the Light” and some cool floating rocks there
For this final clue, you’ll first need to head to The Sludge.
From the fast travel point, head west (keep the wall on your right) and you’ll soon notice a path leading north that takes you through a stream to some caves.
Follow the water until you come across a jammer. It blocks your path and has an icon on the screen, so you shouldn’t miss it.
Examine the base to disable the jammer. Doing so will open a Tasks portal. Jump inside. You now repeat this process – finding and disabling the jammers, fighting or dodging enemies as you go – until you reach an arena with Archie and a handful of enemies.
The goal here is to take down the shielded Centurion. If enough damage is done, more jammers will come online, which must be disabled before the Centurion can be fought again.
Once done, Archie is free. Offer ‘paw reinforcement’ (Bungie’s words, not ours – we can’t take credit) and then visit Ada again in the Tower to complete the quest.
In addition to 10 Trophy of Bravery – useful for getting more Brave weapons – you will also receive Devrin’s mug. Whether you stick with it is up to you!
Remember, a new ‘where’s Archie’ mission will appear next week after the weekly reset. Until then, if you’re looking for more to do in the Into the Light update, you can take on Pantheon bosses, complete “The Whisper,” find Oracle locations, and upgrade Whisper of the Worm with Taken Blights.
