Manchester City will look to retain their Champions League title this season and stay in Europe's biggest club competition after their impressive group stage.

Pep Guardiola's side recorded six wins in as many games after their victory over Red Star Belgrade to finish top of the group – six points ahead of RB Leipzig. The England team claimed their first-ever Champions League title in June after beating Inter Milan in Istanbul.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal also had a successful group stage, also finishing top. The Gunners drew against PSV in their last match and will certainly cherish their chances of European glory this season.

The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all remain in the competition and will prove to be potentially tough tests for the two Premier League sides.

When are they played?

The last sixteen of the Champions League will be played over the course of almost a month.

The first leg of the last 16 will be played from February 13 to 21, 2024, while the second leg will take place from March 5 to 13.

When is the final?

The 2024 Champions League final will take place on Saturday, June 1.

The match is scheduled for Wembley Stadium in London.

The venue last hosted a Champions League final in 2013, when Bayern Munich defeated rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1.
