When will Oppenheimer come to streaming?
Christopher Nolan’s latest (and most grounded) blockbuster has arrived in theaters and will be there for quite some time to come. Oppenheimer has a long window of theatrical exclusivitybut it will eventually make its way to streaming services, even if you should probably try to see it on a big screen if you can.
While Oppenheimer doesn’t have an official streaming date yet, we do know how long it will stay in theaters, which gives us a good idea of when it might eventually be streaming.
When will Oppenheimer start streaming?
Oppenheimer getting a 100-day cinema window was reportedly something that director Christopher Nolan had negotiated with Universal, which would mean it won’t be streaming until November. With the film already performing well and the special screenings – such as the limited 70mm IMAX versions – selling out well into August, it is of course possible Oppenheimer can stay away from streaming even longer.
Where will Oppenheimer stream?
Oppenheimer is a universal movie, so it’ll likely go through the studio’s own streaming service, Peacock. Universal also has an agreement that sends most Peacock movies to Amazon Prime Video a few months later, but we’re not sure that will happen. We’ll keep this post updated when there’s more news about it Oppenheimers streaming destination appears.
When will Oppenheimer be available for rental?
Oppenheimer‘s extra-long theatrical agreement may extend to the film’s VOD release, so it’s possible that it will also be limited to a November release. Either way, expect the movie to be available for rent at least a few weeks before Peacock’s release date.
