What’s new in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.2?

The crown jewels of the new patch are Robin and Boothill, the new five-star characters. Robin, a Physical Harmony character, will launch in the first half of the patch and Boothill, a Physical Hunt character, will launch in the second half of the patch.

While 2.2 probably won’t feature the full conclusion to the Penacony story, the big boss fight seems to imply that we’re nearing the end. In the trailer above we see the return of two characters from the Xianzhou Luofu as everyone works together to take down a big baddie, so it’s probably safe to say things are starting to wrap up here. (Unless… they go bigger than this for a while taller bad guy?)

The patch will also have some quality of life changes, such as the ability to favorite characters and switch character paths (like when you switch Trailblazer from Destruction to Preservation) while keeping the light cones and relics you want.
