Foursomes sees two golfers from Europe compete against a pair from the US, with team members alternating shots and each team using one ball.

Four-ball also sees two golfers from each team compete, but each player uses their own ball. Each pair’s lowest score counts towards their side’s score.

Twelve singles matches is then contested on the final day, with each member of the U.S. team playing a European opponent in a one-on-one match.

Live coverage of the opening day of the Ryder Cup starts from 6am on Friday on Sky Sports Golf. Stream the Ryder Cup, Cricket World Cup, Premier League football, Super League and more NOW.
