When does Overwatch 2 season 13 start and what’s included?
Overwatch 2The next spooky, supernatural season is packed with new costume changes for the heroes of Overwatch, just in time for Halloween. The game’s annual holiday event, Halloween Terror, returns this October, remixed and reinvigorated with a new spooky PvP mode.
And while season 13 of Overwatch 2 won’t feature any new cards or a new hero, existing cards will change, and players could get a taste of Season 14’s new hero – the tank teased at BlizzCon last year – if Blizzard’s latest teaser is any indication.

What time does Overwatch 2 season 13 start?
Overwatch 2 season 13 begins Tuesday October 15. Blizzard’s new seasons usually start at 2:00 PM EDT / 11:00 AM PDT in the United States, so we can expect something similar for the launch of Season 13. This means the update will likely be available at these times:
- 11am PDT off the west coast of North America
- 2:00 PM EDT off the east coast of North America
- 7pm BST for Great Britain
- 8:00 PM CEST for Paris
- 3 hours JST on October 16 for Tokyo
What’s new in Overwatch 2 season 13?

Season 13, known as Spellbinder, brings a new battle pass, a new crossover with My Hero Academiaand the return of the Halloween Terror to Overwatch 2. Blizzard is going all-in with new Mythic cosmetics this season, with a new Mythic Spellbinder skin for Widowmaker, a new Mythic weapon for Soldier:76, and new Gilded Aspects for existing Mythic hero skins, offering new black and gold color variants.
Overwatch 2The pass’s new Battle Pass includes the standard 80 tiers of rewards, including the legendary skins Bog Witch Ana, Necrotic Witch Junker Queen, Witchbane Sojourn, Gnome Torbjorn, and Monstrous Sigma as part of the pass’s premium track. Even more spooky and supernatural skins are coming to the store timed for the Halloween season, including new looks for Ashe, Illari, Kiriko, Mercy, Symmetra, Tracer and Winston.
From this season My Hero Academia crossover runs from October 17-30 and includes the following crossover skins: Deku Tracer, Uravity Juno, All Might Reinhardt, Himiko Toga Kiriko, and Tomura Shigaraki Reaper. A Mega Bundle includes all five skins and exclusive cosmetics for the bundle.
Halloween Terror 2024 runs from October 15 to November 4 and includes a new fast-paced Team Deathmatch mode called Junkenstein’s Laboratory. The mode will feature a system called Cursed Talent Cards, which will give Overwatch heroes new abilities. Previous co-op modes from previous Halloween Terror events – Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride – will also return with new challenges and bosses.
What will change in Overwatch 2 season 13?

Four maps will receive updates this season: Numbani, Circuit Royal, Dorado and Havana. All four maps have had some work done on them, but one consistent change is that Blizzard has changed the area around the attacking team’s spawn on each map.
Additional, Overwatch 2‘s roster is about to expand with a new tank. While that unnamed tank, the game’s 13th, probably won’t go live until Season 14, there’s a good chance players will catch a glimpse of him during Season 13. Blizzard even teased the new Scottish-sounding hero in Season 1 game. 13 trailer. If the new tank is released for a limited playtest, like Mauga and Juno did, we might see it in the game sometime in November.
