Of FortniteWith Chapter 4 Season 2 just days away, it’s time to check out when the new season kicks off and what’s inside. As Chapter 4 Season 1 comes to an end on March 8, the gate at Warden’s Watch has been destroyed and a red rift has opened in the sky. Epic, as always, has been quiet on the details of the new season, but there’s still plenty for us to figure out for ourselves.
Let’s see when Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 launches based on clues and history, then talk about what to expect from the new season.
When will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 launch?
We’ve learned that the official end date for Season 1 is March 8 Epic Announcement that season 1 would end a few days earlier than expected. That fits because, historically, seasons ended and started on weekends. Typically, the day after the season ends, the servers go offline around 3am EST and matchmaking ends about an hour before that.
Chapter 4 The Season 2 start date was confirmed by the Cipher quests that surfaced last week Update 11:50 PM. The Cipher quests came with a “looping-encoded message” that read “3.1.0.2.0.2.3.” or March 10, 2023.
That Epic has confirmed the datecan we expect the update to go live sometime in the morning March 10, 2023.
What’s coming in Season 2?
Many leaks for the upcoming Chapter 4 Season 2 have had a distinctly neon cyberpunk vibe along with the name MEGA.
CHAPTER 4 – THEME SEASON 2:
The next season will have a “Futuristic-Japanese” theme (Neo-Tokyo)!

A new location is also expected to be mentioned (usually likely). Neo-Tokyo and recurring points of interest such as an updated one Happy landing, Loot Island What’s probably a floating island, And Tilted Towers (But that’s just speculation on this point).
Chapter 4 Season 1’s dirt bikes will stick around, but they’re expected to have a futuristic skin. The Battle Bus also gets a new look.
Season 2 will also bring a bunch of new skins, along with associated emotes and cosmetic items. Specifically Eren Yeager van Attack on Titan will be available as part of the Battle Pass, which most likely coincides with the release of part 3 of the final season. Eren is expected to arrive along with his Omni-directional mobility gear that should work like the web-shooters of Chapter 3.
A little later, expected Resident Evil 4‘s Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield show up – probably around the March 24 release of the remake.
Also watch out for two Star Wars skins and some Force forces to go with them.
Season 2 too expected to add an official first-person mode Fortnite.
