1994 – First meeting

Hannah and Paul’s friendship predates the formation of the group in the 1990s, after they became friends at the National Youth Music Theater in their teens.

Hannah was 13 and Paul was 17 when they met, with Hannah later sharing that it was her friend Sheridan Smith, also present, who took a liking to Paul at the time.

1999 – Falling in love

After the band formed in 1998, the group inevitably came close with hours of recording and rehearsing together,

She shared how she initially realized she had feelings for her boyfriend when she became jealous of him flirting with someone else during a group ski trip.

Hannah added that the pair later had “a little drunken kissing one night” before things really started to develop when they returned to LA.

She said The sun of their budding romance: ‘It was all a honeymoon. I can’t remember a day when I felt bad. Life was really really good.

“It was fun from the start, it was a long honeymoon. He was also happy to play his guitar for me. Then he just picked up his guitar, made up songs and sang to me.’

2006 – First split

The couple split up in 2006, three years after the hit parade decided to end it.
