Barbie’s first live-action adventure is just now hitting theaters, but all the Barbies and Kens will soon be available on streaming so you can watch them again and again at home.
While we don’t know exactly what Barbie‘s streaming and rental release dates will be, we’ve got some good guesses based on when Warner Bros. released movies on Max in the recent past. Here’s everything we know so far about when Barbie will be available to stream:
When does Barbie stream on Max?
Based on previous Warner Bros. movies, Barbie will probably hit Max sometime around November. This would give the would-be blockbuster enough legs in the cinema to rake in as much money as possible over the summer, while Warner Bros. would also get a family-friendly hit to throw on his streaming service during the holiday season.
Will Barbie stream on Netflix?
It won’t – at least not in the foreseeable future. While many movie studios have made deals with Netflix to eventually get their movies on the platform, Warner Bros. not one of them. Instead of, Barbie will be limited to Warner’s internal streaming service, Max.
When is Barbie available for rent?
Barbie will likely reach VOD services sometime around October. Most movies are rented on major platforms about a month before their streaming service’s release date, but that’s always possible Barbie will be available in September as Warner Bros. wants to maintain its summer blockbuster momentum into early fall.
