Longtime Wheel Of Fortune co-host Vanna White will be absent from some upcoming episodes of the series.
The hit game show is moving on with a new person filling in for her after the 66-year-old television mainstay contracted Covid-19 in late July, according to Puck News.
Rather than delay filming the episodes until she recovered, producers opted to move forward.
They reportedly contacted “Teacher of the Year” recipient Bridgette Donald-Blue after offering her the job – presumably on a temporary basis – for several episodes, most likely the six episodes usually filmed in one day .
But White’s brief ouster comes as she continues to negotiate her contract with the series after years without a raise, earning just a fraction of what her former co-host Pat Sajak earned, even if Ryan Seacrest steps into his role. .
