A man is expected to be charged with murder after police accused him of setting another man on fire in northwest Victoria.
The burn victim, 69, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday but died overnight of injuries to his upper body.
Police allege he and another man were involved in an altercation at about 10:28 a.m. Tuesday at a property on Wallaby Road in the town of Wheatsheaf, near Daylesford.
The second man, a 63-year-old from Wheatsheaf, was arrested at the scene and is expected to upgrade his attempted murder charge to murder.

He will appear before Ballarat Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
After emergency services were called, firefighters also rushed to the scene on Tuesday morning to put out a blaze in the forest area near the site of the alleged attack.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
