To pin a message, simply open the WhatsApp app and select the chat in which you want to pin a message.
Scroll through the message and long press it.
The context menu will appear with the new option to pin the message.
You will then be asked to select the duration of the pinned message.
Although the default duration is seven days, you can also choose to hold the message for 24 hours or 30 days.
If you decide to pin a message in a group chat, the group admins can determine which members can pin messages.
Fortunately, like all WhatsApp message types, pinned messages are end-to-end encrypted.
WhatsApp posted about the new feature onX (formerly Twitter) and several users expressed their joy.
“I've been waiting for this for a long time,” one user replied, while another called it “very practical.”
And someone joked: 'I just heard that WhatsApp now allows you to pin messages.
