What's really inside this little blue boat shed on the edge of Tasmania's Cornelian Bay
This small Tasmanian boat shed offers a beautiful space that is good enough to live in, with its own jetty and beautiful views of the water.
The quaint blue hut is located on the waterfront of Cornelian Bay in New Town, just north of Hobart city centre.
Built in 1948, the boat shed has undergone many upgrades and transformations, but today it serves as a fun space for families to host gatherings, dock their boats at the dock, or relax and enjoy the pristine views.
Inside there is a surprisingly large and modern kitchen with sleek wooden worktops and an industrial-quality sink.
A warming fireplace is located between the dining area and the cozy living room under sloping ceilings.

She said they were “inundated” with interested buyers when the boat shed came on the market earlier this month.

Luci said it confused buyers because it is the only one with a large size and its own dock.
It sold on December 18 for $450,000, well above the asking price of $375,000.
Luci said it was “largely retired” residents who wanted to get the coveted boat shed.
“It was mainly boaters who moored their boats there and used it as a recreational space,” she says.
'The people who bought it are locals who plan to use it for their own families and grandchildren and for parties, which is really great.'
