What’s next for Raygun? Olympics breakdancing icon is backed to appear on Dancing With The Stars after viral display in Paris… and she could even get her own reality TV show!

Australian breakdancer Raygun has become a sensation after her bizarre performance at the Olympic Games in Paris last Friday.

And now everyone is wondering: what can she do now?

Raygun, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, took the internet by storm with her controversial act in the French capital, which earned her three consecutive clean sheets.

While some Australians are outraged that her performance has brought the country into disrepute, Gunn, a university researcher with a PhD who specialises in “the cultural politics of breakdancing”, is now one of the hottest subjects in Australia and around the world, so it’s possible this won’t be the last we see of her.

She will no longer have the chance to cause a stir at the Olympic Games, and breakdancing will no longer be on the programme at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

Still, Gunn could benefit from her newfound fame in other areas, such as on the Australian version of Dancing With The Stars.

According to bookmakers Crypto Sports Betting, her odds of appearing in the next season of the popular entertainment show are 6/4, while her odds of appearing in Australian reality series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here are estimated at 4/1.

There are even suggestions that Gunn will make a cameo appearance on the big or small screen, with the breakdancer reportedly set to land an acting gig at odds of 7/1 following her exploits at the Olympics.

Other possibilities include getting her own reality TV show (1/9), appearing in a music video (1/12) and, less convincingly, a spot on Australia’s 2028 Olympic team (33/1).

After being mercilessly mocked for her “embarrassing” display during her Olympic debut, Gunn’s mental health has also come under close scrutiny amid the online onslaught.

Not all reviews were negative, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praising her for her commitment to the event.

However, others were outraged by her low score and sometimes bizarre performances, which included kangaroo jumps, resulting in a riot during the race.

Gunn’s performance divided viewers around the world, with Australians accusing her of humiliating the country

Neha Madhok, co-founder and former CEO of political advocacy group Democracy in Colour, claimed Raygun’s choice was a reflection of the “whiteness” of Australian sporting culture.

Whatever she decides to do, sports fans won’t be seeing Raygun at the Olympics again, as her LA debut has been removed from the program.

The decision was made before the Paris Olympics and Gunn was among those who criticized the decision.

“It was disappointing that it was decided that the film wouldn’t screen in LA, especially before we could even screen it,” she said earlier this month.

“That might have been a bit premature. I wonder if they’re kicking themselves now?”
