What’s new in Honkai: Star Rail patch 1.1?

Honkai: Starrail got it patch 1.1 update, the introduction of new characters, some new stories and lots of limited-time events. Some features of this update can be easily overlooked, so we’re here to break them down for you.

There are no new ones Pioneering missions who continue Xianzhou Luofu’s storyline, so if that’s what you were hoping for, you’ll have to wait for yet another patch. 🙁

Below we list some of the biggest changes Honkai: Starrail patch.

New characters: Silver Wolf, Luocha and Yukong

Silver Wolf is already available to pre-roll in the gacha warp, but Luocha and Yukong will get their own gacha flag on June 28.

Silver Wolf is a quantum nihility character who can slap temporary extra weaknesses on enemies and Luocha is an imaginary abundance character who can automatically heal by stacking flowers.

Yukong is an imaginary harmony character that improves the party’s attack, critical hit percentage, and damage.

Companion missions for Luocha, Bailu and Yanqing

More companion missions will be released during the patch, but they will not be available at launch. From June 28, we can hang out with some people from Xianzhou Luofu and explore their backstories a bit.

There’s also now technically an event-based companion mission available that accompanies the Silver Wolf “Starhunt Game” event. After patch 1.1 it will be available for people who missed the event, so it’s worth pointing out.

You can now track monsters that drop items you need

If you’re building a lot of characters, you’re probably running out of material. Have no fear as you can now track enemies by the items they have. For example, if you need more ancient items, you can select the sample source from this menu screen to track the items:

Once you’ve done that you can navigate directly to the enemies as they will be highlighted on your map. After defeating an enemy, the closest enemy to drop these items will also be highlighted, making it much easier to collect additional materials you need to upgrade your characters.

Friend Chat is coming this patch, but at a later date

So far with your friends you can only borrow their supporting characters (which is a great thing to do, and you definitely should). However, Hoyoverse has heard your screams and is now adding an in-game chat messaging system so you can yell at your whale friend to set their new fully built Silver Wolf as their support for you to use.

Belobog History and Culture Museum opens in June

While it won’t be available at launch, you’ll have access to a new area in Belobog where you can help recover stolen items from the museum. The museum will be introduced during a limited-time event called the “Everwinter City Museum Ledge of Curiosities,” which will run from June 9 to 26.

Extra credits can be bought at the world shops

If you’ve bought out the World Stores after finding all of the relevant Specialized Currencies, you can now spend the extras on Credits.

Lost Trotters can now be randomly found in battles

Are you sad that there are no more Warp Trotters on the map because you found them all? Well, now you can randomly encounter Lost Trotters while fighting. Killing them before they run away will give you extra resources when the battle is over. However, you don’t get Stellar Jade or anything like that if you kill them the same way you did with their Warp Trotter siblings.

Simulated Universe now tracks events and rewards you for finding them

In Simulated Universe’s “index” menu, you can always view your collection of Aeons, Curios, and Blessings – and even claim Stellar Jade for collecting several. Patch 1.1 adds a new section so you can track what Simulated Universe events you’ve encountered. There are 38 different events and you get 20 Stellar Jade per unlocked event. This will also be completed retroactively, so all the events you encountered before patch 1.1 are already registered, so grab your free Stellar Jade.
