Whatever happened to Toni Pearen? 51-year-old star of Funniest Home Videos and E Street now leads a quiet life in Sydney’s Northern Beaches

She was one of the most famous Australian celebrities in the 1990s.

Toni Pearen rose to fame in the classic soap E Street when she was just 17, before enjoying a successful pop career and a stint on Home and Away.

These days, the 51-year-old leads a much quieter life out of the limelight, running an acting school in Sydney and raising her family on the northern beaches.

When she’s not focusing on her two children, Toni enjoys traveling and doing the odd media appearance here and there.

She has two children, son Lucky and daughter Ever, with husband Will Osmond.

These days, the 51-year-old runs an acting school in Sydney and focuses on raising her family on the northern beaches.

Speaking to Kidspot in 2017, Tony said of parenting: “When you have a newborn, there are 24 hours in the day and you’re awake for a lot of it. There’s a lot going on.

“Never in a million years before I had kids did I think I could walk away from my career, but I’m really proud that I did.

She previously told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph that she was ‘very grateful’ for the experiences she had in the entertainment industry.

“Seriously, my life was beyond my wildest dreams. I’m very grateful for the life I’ve had,” she said.

“I look back and I had wonderful experiences. I feel like I’ve lived my life 10 times longer.’

Toni rose to fame as a teenager on E Street, before leaving the show in 1992 to focus on her pop career.

She released two hit singles, I Want You and In Your Room, before returning to acting in 1994 in Home and Away.

In 1995, she starred in the Australian comedy All Men Are Liars before her acting career began to slow down.

Tony returned in the early 2000s as the host of Australia’s Funniest Home Videos from 2003 to 2007, and then did Dancing with the Stars in 2008.

She stepped away from the spotlight after that to focus on raising her two children, before returning again in 2021 for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

In February, the two-hit wonder performed her first concert in more than 25 years at Sydney’s World Pride.

“It was my first gig in over 25 years and what a comeback!!! Thank you Sydney @sydneymardigras @sydneyworldpride for doing me again!’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“Nothing brings me more joy than sharing it with you. Lots of love. Be proud, be bold, be YOU. Happy World Pride Sydney.’
