What time does Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 release?
Season 5 by Modern Warfare 3 And War zone will be released on Wednesday, July 24, marking the next major update for Activision’s hugely popular shooter.
As always, a new season means new maps, modes, weapons, and other additions. Following Season 4’s Gundam crossover event, Season 5 brings a wrestling-themed WWE SummerSlam event.

MW3 Season 5 Release Date: When does the new MW3 season start?
Modern Warfare 3 season 5 and War zone season 5 launch on Wednesday July 24at the same time in all regions of the world. Here’s when it will be released in your time zone:
- 09:00 am PDT off the west coast of North America
- 12:00 PM EDT off the east coast of North America
- 5:00pm BST for the United Kingdom
- 6:00 PM CEST for Western Europe / Paris
- 01:00 AM JST on July 25 for Tokyo
Based on previous seasons, you can expect the update to roll out approximately 24 hours earlier than the times listed above on Tuesday.
What’s New in MW3 Season 5?

As usual, Modern Warfare 3 will be adding a ton of new content at the start of Season 5, with more planned for a mid-season update. You can see the full list of additions summarized in the chart above (or detailed on the Activision Blog), but below we have listed the highlights.
MW3 Season 5 New Maps, Modes, and Weapons

- Modern Warfare 3 will receive two new weapons at the launch of Season 5, the Static-HV SMG and the STG assault rifle.
- Two new maps are added to the level list in Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer: the Florida theme Bait and the cel-shaded Gardenalong with two cel-shaded variants, Cell ship And Tone Oxide. In the meantime, War zone will see the return of Urzikstan Atlas Supermarket.
- At the launch of season 5 in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, both the returning Arcade And COD warrior (a set of 15 minigames) modes available. War zone gets Revival Mode in the Superstore POI.
- Four Operators will be part of Season 5 from launch: Valeria Garza, Mami (WWE’s Rhea Ripley), IvanAnd Calculator.
- In the store you can pick up Operator bundles for the WWE’s Cody Rhodes And Rey Mysterio together with the cel-shaded Show Force 141.
MW3 Season 4 Midseason Maps, Modes, and Weapons

- Two new weapons are added Modern Warfare 3 in the midseason update: the melee javelin and the Couple 35 launcher.
- There’s only one card coming to Season 5 in the midseason update: a cel-shaded variant of Ink House.
- The center of Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 adds three new game modes: Fish infection, PaintballingAnd Render harmless or destroy. In the meantime, War zone will see the return of Supreme revival — including a chance to Spilled Beans weapon camo.
MW3 SummerSlam Event

From July 31st, Modern Warfare 3‘s WWE SummerSlam event will see a new game mode added: Slam deathmatchIn this version of Team Deathmatch, your weapons will only bring your opponents down. To take them down and earn your points, you’ll need to get in close and perform a random WWE Finishing move.
