What time does Marvel Rivals season 1 release in your time zone?

Season 1 by Marvel RivalsFormally titled Eternal Night Falls, it brings a whopping four new characters to the game, as well as a new set of maps. These additions will be rolled out over a two-part season that developer NetEase Games said will “double the playable content of a regular season.”

In Season 1, take to the streets of New York City as Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four. All four members – Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing – will make their debut during Season 1, and the story will focus on Dracula’s invasion of the city, as well as Doctor Strange’s disappearance.

In this Marvel Rivals guide, we’re going to pieces when season 1 comes out in your time zone and what to expect from Season 1, both at launch and during the mid-update.

Marvel Rivals season 1 and Fantastic Four will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox

The first half of Marvel Rivals Season 1 launches on Friday, January 10 at 4am ESTadding two members of the Fantastic Four to the roster, two maps and a new arcade game mode. This is when that is in your time zone:

  • 1am PST on January 10th off the west coast of North America
  • 4am EST on January 10 off the east coast of North America
  • 9am GMT on January 10 for Great Britain
  • 10:00 CET on January 10 for Western Europe/Paris
  • 6:00 PM JST on January 10 for Tokyo

The second half of Marvel Rivals season 1 will launch six to seven weeks lateron Friday February 21 or Friday February 28.

The launches will take place worldwide on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series

What can you expect from Marvel Rivals season 1

The first half of season 1 introduces two new characters: Mr. Fantastic (aka Reed Richards) and the Invisible woman (aka Sue Storm).

Mister Fantastic is a duelist who uses his stretch powers to strike enemies from afar, smash their heads together and deflect incoming attacks. The Invisible Woman is a strategist who can place shields for her allies, turn invisible, and push her enemies across the battlefield. It’s currently unclear if the husband and wife duo from Marvel’s first family will be adding new Team-Up abilities to the game.

The first half of Marvel Rivals Season 1 also introduces two of the game’s three New York-based maps.

  • Realm of Eternal Night: Midtown is a new convoy map in which you must escort the Fantastic Four’s beloved assistant robot – HERBIE – from the Baxter Building to Avenger’s Tower.
  • Shrine Sanctorum is the second new map, which acts as an arcade map and hosts the new Doom Match mode.

The start of Season 1 also includes all the regular season goodies, like a small rank reset and a battle pass with 10 hero costumes.

The second half of Marvel Rivals season 1 will add the thing (aka Ben Grimm) and the Human torch (aka Johnny Storm) as new characters, bringing the total number of heroes in the game to 37. Also added is the third map of New York City, Realm of the Eternal Night: Central Park.

NetEase Games said it will reveal more about the second half of Season 1 – including details on how Ben and Johnny will play – before the update launches in late February.
