Final fantasy 14‘S Dawn trail expansion is coming and the game will take a while 48-hour maintenance before the early access period.
While Dawn trail itself will be fully launched on July 2, players who pre-ordered the new expansion will be able to play it early on June 28 after the long-term maintenance.
Below we explain when FFXIV Dawn Trail maintenance begins and what last-minute things you can do to ensure you’re ready for the expansion’s launch.
What time does FFXIV away for maintenance?
Final fantasy 14 goes offline for maintenance Wednesday June 26 at the following times and will be unavailable for 48 hours:
- 2 hours PDT off the west coast of North America
- 5am EDT off the east coast of North America
- 10am BST for Great Britain
- 11am CEST for Western Europe/Paris
- 6:00 PM JST for Japan/Tokyo
- 7pm AEDT for Australia/Sydney
That said, the game will reappear at the same time, but on Friday June 28. You only have access to Dawn trail content if you pre-ordered the expansion.
What should I do before FFXIV Dawntrail maintenance?
There are plenty of things you can prepare for prior to maintenance Dawn trail. In addition to the things we mention in our guide, you should also take care of them put away any garden plots so that your crops do not wither: the timer for the crops continues to run, even during maintenance. You should too refresh your housing timer, if you have a house. During the day End runner‘s launch you were unable to enter your home due to extreme server congestion, so it’s best to reset that timer now before potential congestion occurs.
If you plan on using a Fantasia to transform into the newly added female Hrothgar, you should use your Fantasia before maintenance. You will need that too equip everything before you can play Fantasia. Because you have to log in again to actually change races, you can immediately change this when logging in for the first time after maintenance. (If the login queues and the aforementioned congestion are as bad as they were during End runneryou don’t want to log in again for that Fantasia because you could end up waiting in line for hours.)
Last but not least, you need to make sure you do that log out in a shrine (in a city or near an Aetheryte) to ensure you collect equipped EXP — which is a 50% EXP bonus up to a certain amount.
