Strictly Come Dancing fans were confused about Tess Daly’s clothing choice on Saturday’s episode of the BBC ballroom show.

On Twitter, users claimed they “couldn’t conquer” the look, while others called the footwear a “tailor disaster.”

One wrote, “I can’t be strict about Tess’ boots,” while another added, “Tess those boots don’t do anything for that pretty dress.”
A third said: ‘Tess forgot to bring her shoes to the studio and thought ‘I’ll leave my boots on, no one will notice?’ #Strict.’
Another came in with, “Oh dear, what was she thinking! #Tess #Boots #Strictly.’
One last typed: ‘Tess, I’m a fan, but wearing knee-length boots with that dress is like wearing high heels and a donkey jacket. A sartorial disaster.’
Strictly Come Dancing’s eighth live show of the series came Saturday night on BBC One, with the nine remaining couples facing the series’ first public vote.
After giving it their all on the dance floor last week, the celebrities once again learned a new routine as things kicked up a gear in week eight, thanks to the Couples’ Choice special.
Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima received 31 points for their American Smooth to Chasing Cars from Snow Patrol, which she dedicated to her late son Archie. He died in February 2009 after a premature birth.
The actress said in her VT, “It reminds us of my son Archie. I gave birth to him too early and unfortunately he died shortly after.
Eek! On Twitter, users claimed they “couldn’t conquer” the look, while others called the footwear a “tailor disaster.”
The emotional star continued: “I feel that by doing this dance, it will not only be in memory of Archie, but will get people talking about their own experiences.”
Kym and her ex-husband Jamie Lomas were heartbroken when their child died at just 21 weeks, following a premature birth in February 2009.
Judge Motsi Mabuse said in her feedback, “The message you were trying to get across, the vulnerability and vulnerability came through, it was so clear.
“It started so well, I don’t know what happened. There was a sudden change of energy and I don’t know why. There was a great ending and it started so great.”
