What happened to Harold’s face? Neighbors star Ian Smith raises concern with mysterious bruise at Post Office protest

Former Neighbors star Ian Smith has sparked concern after sporting what appeared to be a bruise on his face this week.

The 83-year-old, who played Harold Bishop in the beloved Australian soap, had the mark on the side of his face, right next to his mouth.

Smith was spotted with the slur while attending a protest to stop the closure of a 136-year-old Australia Post office in Glenroy.

Clearly frustrated by the impending closure, Smith said 9News that it was ‘so wrong’.

“Come on, let’s save this post office!” he yelled at a reporter.

It comes on the heels of news that Smith will reprise his iconic role as Harold in Amazon’s upcoming Neighbors reboot.

He looked elated to be back on the Neighbors set as he smiled alongside Australian actor Scott Major, who also previously starred on the soap as Lucas Fitzgerald.

Last July, the recordings for the iconic Australian soap came to an end after 37 years.

It was canceled because it was unable to find a new broadcaster after Channel 5 dropped the long-running soap for its UK audience.

The new series now airs for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US and includes streaming rights to thousands of episodes from previous seasons.

In Australia, New Zealand and Canada, it streams on Prime Video.
